Rank Information

Overseer (OS)

The Overseer is the highest rank possible within the NSW Park Rangers, they overseer and manage the entire sub-department along with the Command Team, they act as a direct line of communication between the Command Team and higher ranks.


Commander (CM)

The commander has full control and power over the sub-department, they handle all internal matters, promotions, discipline and more.


Deputy Commander (DC)

The deputy commander is the same as the Commander, except they need permission for things like promotions, discipline, accepting applications, etc.


Lead Ranger (LR)

This is the highest rank you can earn as a Ranger; they have worked hard and for many hours and proved themselves as a Good Ranger, they are allowed to host Trainings with the permission of a DC+


Leading Senior Ranger (LS)

The Leading Senior Ranger is the second highest rank achievable.


Senior Ranger (SR)

The Senior Ranger is the third highest rank you can earn; they have worked hard for this position.


Ranger-In-Charge (RC)

The Ranger-In-Charge is the rank you earn after your first promotion as Ranger.


Ranger (RN)

The first rank you earn after completing training, this also now means you can go On-Duty as a Ranger


Trainee (TN)

This is the rank you earn after completing your application, you ARE NOT allowed to go on-duty as a Ranger and must wait for training.


The Board of Commission has full control over all sub-departments and the commanders. They have final say over everything.
