Jurisdictional Response Policies

The Jurisdictional Response Policies or JRP for short (Pronounced JARP) details what calls, responses and measures rangers should take.

Panic Call Response Protocol (PCRP)

Upon receiving a Panic Call within the Jurisdiction, if the Ranger is in a radius of the call where they can arrive in less than <3 minutes, and the Ranger has a valid Firearms Certificate, they can respond Code 1

If the Ranger does NOT have a valid Firearms Certificate, then they are not permitted to respond until after the gunmen have left the area/or been arrested.

Backup Call Response Protocol (BCRP)

Upon receiving a backup call through the radio that's within the Jurisdiction, you are allowed to respond as you see fit. If however it's a shots fired backup call, then refer to the PCRP

Regular 000 Call Protocol (RCP)

Upon receiving a 000 call through the radio or dispatch that is within Jurisdiction, make sure too check the Call Description, and refer to PCRP, and BCRP

Here are some examples of a Regular Call:

  • Verbal Dispute

  • Camping Issue

  • Physical Assault (Call GD for backup)

  • and more

Remember to refer to the Police Intervention Policies in order to prioritize safety.

Any questions or concerns regarding these Protocols should be directed to the Deputy Commander or Commander of PR
